At Positive Consultancy we deliver the most recognised, researched and established mindfulness course which is the Gold Standard and Internationally renowned:
MBSR PROGRAMME (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction)
Essentially this is an 8-week course, for small groups of individuals and generally with a break for half term in the middle and consists of 8 x 2 hour sessions. (Please note this course can also be ‘bespoke’ and specifically adapted in terms of content and timings to meet the needs of varying populations).
This course is based on the MBSR programme originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the late 1970’s. The course teaches us how to cultivate awareness and be less caught up in our automatic and often negative thinking patterns, feelings and ingrained behaviours which can help to perpetuate stress, anxiety and chronic pain.
The course explores meditation practices which can transform daily life, and which include peaceful sitting meditations, restful body scans, and the body/mind connection created by mindful walking and mindful movement. In addition, there are shorter meditations to enjoy and very helpful coping strategies to take away with you immediately. There is also information and discussion and exercises relating to stress and pain management, relaxation, the healing of stress, and how to apply mindfulness to interpersonal communications and the integration of Mindfulness into everyday activity.
All of this content has been scientifically proven to help people cope better with stress, anxiety and depression and enables people to manage their own health, wellbeing and generally to enhance their quality of life.
The course is run under the guidance of a qualified Mindfulness Teacher.

We will continue collaborating with face-to -face Mindfulness delivery at the Iffley Turn Practice as soon as is possible. The aim of the Iffley Turn Practice in South Oxford, is to help their clients manage their health as effectively as possible by providing them with a multidisciplinary therapy centre that offers a comprehensive and holistic approach to health. Mindfulness is now one of their key offerings and is delivered both by Bonnie Roberts from Positive Consultancy and Ben Ousey from the Iffley Turn Practice itself.
Our new collaboration with Santosha Wellbeing in Wallingford: https://santoshawellbeing.co.uk will also resume when feasible.
